Description of Course:
The Professional Academy Follow-up consists of two parts.
The fall course is an online learning opportunity using both WebCT
and ASCD. During the fall follow-up participants will:
q engage in online staff development that takes advantage of web-based technologies to enhance professional practice (ASCD Online Professional Development Course and a web-based learning environment for discussion).
q examine the tools that are needed to build a reflective practice and apply these tools to strengthen and maintain a reflective practice;
q actively engage in online discussions with colleagues to exchange ideas and research regarding professional beliefs and reflective practices;
q develop a personal mastery plan to achieve professional goals;
q have an opportunity to participate in online staff development that takes advantage of web-based technologies.
