Because of the intensity of the program and the network opportunities, participants are strongly encouraged to reside on campus during the summer seminar in order to benefit from available opportunities to the greatest extent. The TTL participants do spend considerable time during the Academy learning to use specific hardware and software products. However, education in the Information Age requires that school administrators not only update their skills and knowledge, but also work toward the transformation of their roles as educational leaders. Therefore, the major Academy emphasis is on helping school administrators learn about new roles and strategies that can improve teacher effectiveness and student achievement through the integration of technology into the curriculum. TTL participants will engage in an array of activities in order to achieve this. Activity examples:

Eligibility: Any person who is currently under contract for an administrative assignment in a South Dakota school may apply for participation in the Governor’s TTL Academy for School Administrators.
